My World

As an entrepreneur I honed my skills in a variety of areas. I went from designing greeting cards for my online business to digitally formatting them for the printing company. I ended up learning just a bit of HTML and revamped my website altogether. I also learned how to optimize my website to earn money through online marketing, affiliate programs, Google Adsense and other simple but effective marketing techniques. It was the experience from 2003-2007 that led me to do web design. I currently maintain a couple of websites. One in particular is CoffeyParkGreetings.com. This website is still up and running since 2003. It's like my baby. I can't let go! I don't think I'll ever give up my dream of having an Urban Hallmark Store.

I started my online stationery business to fulfill a dream to create my own destiny. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, I found I had business dreams but never knew how to fulfill them. Then came the World Wide Web. I remember seeing the first EBAY commercials on TV and how they talked about people selling stuff online. I was like, what's an EBAY?

Fifteen or so years later, I find myself in college for Web Design and Interactive Media, doing what I really have a passion for and that's being creative. One door opened up for me in 2003 when I started Coffey Park Greetings, but throughout my experience running an urban stationery business, so many more doors opened. I have had the opportunity to be designer, marketer and accountant to name a few. With that came exposure to the business experiences I will never forget.

My mantra since 2003 has been "Create The Door So Opportunity Could Knock".

Now I look at web design with lots of love and peace in my heart. I can see where I want to go and I know what it takes to get there. Those doors I talked about are all open for me to enter and explore because of my college experience and my will to learn and get better everytime I design.

Now that I am officially considering myself a freelance web designer, I feel I can bring my own creative juices to your project and be the designer that will take your online business and services to the next level.
